A longtime advocate for advanced medical care access for women in medicine and surgery, Dr. Michael Fields has also championed health and wellness with a specific comprehensive approach to each individual woman. Known nationally for his contribution to quality patient care in the operating room setting, that same passion exists in his medical practice. He is complemented by a phenomenal team of compassionate, skilled health professionals. Fields Center for Women’s Health & Robotic Surgery launched in 2010 and has become known not only for bringing innovative technology into the office setting, but also for their unique, authentic attention to each individual patient. Led by Anya Zerilla, WHNP, and the exciting addition of Catherine Kingery, WHNP, they offer you a snapshot of this long-standing, unique practice.
Dr. Fields offers a full range of women’s services including: gynecologic minimally invasive surgery including complex hysterectomy, robotic surgery, myomectomy (removal of large fibroids), management of pelvic masses/tumors, minimally invasive surgical options for pelvic female prolapse including severe cases and repeat procedures, management of mesh complications and failed prior procedures, management of endometriosis including complex cases, and surgical management of chronic pelvic pain; obstetrics, prenatal care and delivery including high risk patients; office gynecology including routine exams, problem visits, ultrasound services, and adolescent care through menopausal management; hormone replacement options, including bio identical therapy and pellet therapy; aesthetic services including Body Contouring, Botox and Weight Loss Management. The office is the true definition of comprehensive, holistic care.
To date, Dr. Fields has treated over 6,000 patients using the DaVinci robotic surgical system successfully using a minimally invasive technique, and spends a portion of his time teaching robotic surgery to other surgeons. Dr. Fields is designated as a robotic ‘Epicenter’ surgeon, one of 20 in the nation with the distinction, denoting a center of excellence in his practice of robotic surgery to treat his patients and to teach advanced skills to other surgeons. Not only has he trained most of the gynecologists practicing robotic surgery in our region, he has also trained other surgeons and robotic surgery teams nationwide.
